He has taught meditation to at-risk and incarcerated teenagers, volunteered at a hospice facility, and worked for many years as a counselor at the Long Island Crisis Center. In 1985 he co-founded LIGALY, a youth support organization where he served as Co-Director until 1992. He leads a regular meditation and discussion group at the New York Insight Meditation Center in Manhattan.
Lawrence has been featured on NBC-TV, the New York Times, the New York Post, New York Nonstop, and Worldstreams Radio.
As a practicing Zen Buddhist, he integrates the principles of mindfulness and compassion into his life coaching sessions. He is committed to helping people understand themselves emotionally, spiritually and psychologically so they can grow towards their highest potential.
